Praja Foundation is one of the first citizen focussed groups in India to get into active collaboration with local governments for local governance and administration. Praja, based in Mumbai, has partnered the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation since 1998 and initiated a number of very successful programs in improvement and enhancement of governance systems.
Indiamap Hosting designed the website for Praja in 2000 and has since been maintaining it as well as providing hosting services for the website and the team's emails.
In 2001 Praja, Nixel Technology and Indiamap initiated a pioneering project of having an Online Complaint Management System (OCMS) for the city of Mumbai. Hailed as one of the successes in Indian e-governance initiatives and one of the first systems of its kind around the world with the unique model and methodology that it adopts, OCMS has been a resounding success and hundreds of thousands of complaints from citizens of Mumbai have been processed through the OCMS over the years.
Indiamap Hosting provides all the hosting, infrastructure, management, administration and support for the OCMS since 2003 and has been maintaining a 99.5% uptime with high performance on a large user base 24 x 7 over the past four years of operation. The Indiamap Hosting team provides critical support for the sophisticated software, databases and systems of the OCMS.
